Granite District to install cameras on school buses | News
SALT LAKE CITY - The Granite School District hopes using cameras on school buses will help curb bullying.
The district says putting another set of eyes inside school buses can stop bullying, bad language and can be used as a tool to help bus drivers know if they're doing something inappropriate.
"We pull footage when there's a complaint or concern. Now we have if we need it," said Ben Horsley with Granite School District.
Footage is viewed on an as-needed basis.
Half of the district buses have cameras already. The rest will be installed by the end of the summer.
